Management NVQs


As part of our training portfolio, CPD offers nationally recognised Management NVQs tailored to the needs of the employer and the individual.

NVQ Level 3

The Management Level 3 qualification is aimed broadly at those supervisors and first-line managers responsible for the control of activities and work output of a team and who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, e.g. planning and implementing change, managing a budget or a project, resource management or professional development.

NVQ Level 4

The Management Level 4 qualification is intended for middle managers with more personal responsibility and autonomy in their management role than at Level 3 and who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, e.g. managing business processes, developing and implementing operational plans, planning and implementing change, managing finance, or providing learning opportunities. Individuals may find that the focus of their work is more to do with managing projects, or with technical matters, than with people.

NVQ Level 5

The Management Level 5 qualification is aimed at senior managers who are responsible for the control of activities and work output of other managers and who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, e.g. improving organisational performance, encouraging innovation, developing a strategic business plan, managing risk, planning the workforce, or managing a programme of complementary projects.
